Now we are ready to use the Terrain Tools to sculpt our terrain, by means of deform and smooth:
After moulding our terrain into shape, let's start giving it some texture:
Again, adjust the WorldSize parameter to make the layer textures look natural:
Finally, let's splat some grass / vegetation of the ground. Click the Splat Grass button in the Tools panel, and click on the Plant Textures Tool ribbon:
Splatting vegetation works in pretty much the same way as the other terrain tools: size and intensity controls how big the area and how much is applied.
Again, holding the [SHIFT] key reverses the action, ie removes the vegetation from the scene.
Drag and drop some more meshes from the Meshes section on the Resources panel, and the scene looks like this:
