Elements of the interface

The interface of qtOgitor is composed of six main elements:

 

Render window

- the main work area. This is where the main interaction with Ogitor occurs.

Tool panels

These dockable tool panels can be shown/hidden and moved around, either docked and floating.

Toolbar

The toolbar is where the most common operations are: scene commands, transformation tools, etc.

Panel toggle buttons

These buttons lets you toggle the various tool panels on/off. Also has a button to toggle full screen mode.

Statusbar

Contains a Camera menu which lets you retrieve or delete camera positions. Click the Save Position button in the Camera Options section of the main toolbar to store a camera position. The statusbar also shows the current camera position and the frames per second rendered (FPS).

Camera panel

This is where you set camera movement speed, switch between fly camera and 'walk' camera modes, cycle between tool modes (select, translate, scale, rotate) and switch between camera view modes.

Your work area

When you open a scene, you probably see something like this: Image Scene explorer panel: Image Camera tools: Image Toggle panels: Image{IMG} Camera view modes: Image{IMG}
